The City of Rio de Janeiro is nicknamed "the Marvellous City" and has been named a Global City. The city is Brazil's main tourist attraction and it also receives more international visits per year than any other city in South America with around 2.82 million. Rio de Janeiro is considered the cultural capital of Brazil because of its combination of historic and modern architecture, its more than 50 museums, popularity of music and literature, and its yearly Carnival celebration. Arrive in Rio! After custom clearance we will head for a guided city tour of Rio visiting downtown area, passing by the Financial and Business Center and other attractions such as the City Palace, Candelaria Church, Saint Sebastian Cathedral, Lapa Arches, Municipal Theatre, National Library, Fine Arts Museum, and by the Samba Rome, site of Rio's famous Carnival Parade. After lunch it's time for check-in at the hotel. Nightlife in Rio is considered one of the best in the world and it's not to be missed. Here the night is filled with music and joy, and it makes the heart beat faster. After dinner passengers are taken to Plataforma show where a show of Samba and Folklore music with Brazilian dancers is performed. You will feel the energy and enchantment of the Carnival in Rio, the samba, the mulata dancers, a capoeira presentation and other traditional Brazilian dances. Day 02)Rio de Janeiro

After breakfast we go on a Boat tour of Guanabara Bay, viewing the incredible “Wonder City” from its most famous bay, followed by touring around Sugar Loaf Mountain - huge cone shaped rock made of granite rising 1300 feet high above water - landmark of Rio. The Sugar Loaf is a worldwide symbol of Rio de Janeiro .Your visit to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain by two sets of cable cars, the first taking you to the top of Urca Hill which stands 215 meters high and overlooks Guanabara Bay and its many islands, the Rio-Nitero Bridge and Corcovado Hill, where you can see the statue of Christ the Redeemer keeping watch over the citizens of Rio. Your second cable car journey takes you to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain where panoramic vista's await and you can view such sights as the famous Copacabana Beach. After Lunch proceed for tour to Corcovado takes you to the Cosme Velho station to catch the cog train. The steep train journey takes you through the dense Atlantic rain forest of Tijuca to the Art Deco statue of Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Mountain. Say Goodbye to Rio and board your flight for Iguassu. Upon arrival in Iguassu, transfer from the airport to Foz do Iguacu home to the Brazilian National Park. Taller than Niagara Falls and wider than Victoria Falls, these waterfalls and the river are both considered a World Heritage site due to their tremendous beauty as well as the biodiversity. Enjoy a hot breakfast at the hotel. This morning we proceed to the Argentinean side of Iguassu Falls. You will make a short stop at the Visitor’s Center and proceed from there along to the Inferior Circuit, the Down-River Falls, to the Superior Circuit, the Up-River Cascades. The Ecological Jungle Train leads you to the most impressive observation point of the falls - The Devils Throat. This is the tallest falls amongst the 275 falls that comprises Iguassu Falls. As we walk out to the Devils Throat, we pass a huge number of colorful birds, butterflies and a few voracious coatis. Embark on specially designed motorboats and sail along the rebel waters of Iguazu River. After this great adventure enjoy the highlight of the South American folkloric show at Rafain. Breakfast. Today’s schedule is an early transfer to the railway station for the train to Machu Picchu. We take four-hour scenic train ride to the Peruvian town of Aguas Calientes. Transfer to a bus for a brief journey to the much-visited archaeological site of Machu Picchu. There's a reason why this awesome complex is celebrated, loved and mused over by historians, travelers, stargazers and mystics alike - it is simply one of the most astounding places on earth!
