Day 01: GUWAHATI - SHILLONG (110 KMS / 3 hrs drive)

Arrive Guwahati Airport / Railway Station……..your tour begins in the beautiful North East!!!! Our local office representative shall meet & greet you @ airport / station & you shall be transferred to Shillong. Enroute visit UMIUM LAKE - more popularly known as Barapani, this is the biggest artificial lake in the State. Surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies is the majestic Umiamlake. Developed upon the reservoir of the Umiam Hydro Electric Project, the Water Sports Complex provides a choice of row-boats, paddle-boats, cruise boats, sailing boats, water scooters and speed boats. On arrival Check in hotel later visit BOTANICAL GARDEN that houses an extensive range of exotic plants and flowers. DON BOSCO MUSEUM - a unique venture of the Salesians of Don Bosco in North East India to develop expert facilities for the preservation and promotion of numerous beautiful and diverse indigenous cultures of the region. The Museum exhibits cultural artifacts thematically arranged from floor to floor in the different galleries along with excellent paintings depicting various aspects of the cultures of North East India forms the first and most visible aspect of DBCIC! Day 02: SHILLONG - CHERRAPUNJEE - SHILLONG (60 KMs / 2 hrs-One way)

Morning after breakfast, proceed for an excursion to CHERRAPUNJEE,, blessed with many breathtaking views of nature in her pristine beauty with cool springs, mind soothing waves of thick green jungle foliage, gurgling mountain streams finding their way through rocks, enthralling milky white waterfalls leaping into deep gorges in a thunderous applause to the record-breaking rainfall that resounds through the valley. Cherrapunjee has the distinction of being the wettest place on Earth, having thehighest recorded rainfall, year after year.Later return back to Shillong. Evening visit Local markets in Shillong (BARA BAZAAR and POLICE BAZAAR) for the best shopping experience.ARCHERY SHOW (on your own) Overnight stay at Shillong. Highlight: - Cherrapunjee & Archery Gambling show. Specialty shopping at Shillong: Bara Bazaar & Police Bazaar:- These markets also host the Iewdeh, theweekly local market. You can explore the markets for goodies that are locally produced like handicrafts, wooden items, bamboo artifacts and a very popular forest-made honey. Get your hands on some of thesouvenirs typical to Shillong - hand-carved knives, Tibetan shawls, bamboo cutlery and artifacts. The Police Bazaar is known for its traditional Khasi silk skirts, called jain-sayem, also savour the locally grown fruits, Sayang and Saflang, which are wrapped and sold in banana leaves. ARCHERY GAMBLING -The archery gambling is a sort of lottery, with the local archers shooting at a target. People all over Meghalaya place bet on the last 2 digits of the number of arrows sticking to the target. It is really a fascinating mixture of sport, culture & gambling……you must experience Gambling here!

Day 03: SHILLONG - BHALUKPONG (350 KMS 7 - 8 HRS DRIVE)

Morning after breakfast drive to Bhalukpong. Located in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, it is popular among tourists because of the scenic views and abundant natural beauty that it provides, and because of its location, away from the mainland. Bhalukpong serves as an exotic getaway. You can take a walk down the riverside, as the Kameng river flows along the town’s perimeter. On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Bhalukpong.

Day 04: BHALUKPONG - DIRANG (185 KMS / 6 1/2 HOURS DRIVE)

Morning after breakfast drive to Dirang.Enroute visit TIPPI ORCHID CENTRE - Arunachal Pradesh is known for its rich orchid flora and has more than 500 species of orchids. Check in Hotel on arrival at Dirang - north eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh boasts of picturesque natural beauties with snow wrapped mountains, roaring rivers, lush green valleys and its huge collection of flora and fauna. It is very popular for its hot water springs, sheep rearing farms and apple orchards. Day 05: DIRANG -TAWANG (155 KMS/ 6 HRS DRIVE)

Morning after breakfast drive to Tawang.Enroute witness the snowcapped SELLA PASS at 14000 ft it is the second highest motorable road in India. and the JASWANT GARH MEMORIAL. Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee -Posthumous) of 4th BatallionGarhwalRifles, fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place. Check in Hotel on arrival at Tawang - The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “GALDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” Monestary - one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia .The birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 400 year old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature.Overnight stay at Tawang.

Day 06: TAWANG

Morning after breakfast, visit the MONASTERY - The Tawang Monastery stands on the start of a hill, about 10,000 ft above sea level and has ravines in the south and west, narrow ridge on the north and a gradual slope on the east. offers an imposing and picturesque view of the Tawang-Chu valley. The monastery appears like a fort from a distance, as if guarding the admirers in the wide valley below. Also visit the WAR MEMORIAL - a 40 foot high multi-hued memorial, has a structure constructed in stupa design. Dedicated to the martyrs of Sino-India War held in 1962, this memorial is nestled among beautiful peaks, which overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. Popularly known as NamgyalChorten, the memorial has names of 2,420 dead soldiers.Evening free for shopping. Overnight stay at Tawang Highlight: - Tawang Monastery.

Day 07: TAWANG - BOMDILA (180 KMS / 6 HOURS)

Morning after breakfast drive back to Bomdila - Hooked in the amongst the mighty mountainous ranges of Himalaya, Bomdila in Arunachal Pradesh is a mini paradise, with its Apple orchards, Buddhist gomphas and a magnificient view of the Kameng Valley. On Arrival check into the hotel Evening free at leisure.Overnight stay at Bomdila.

Day 08: BOMDILA - KAZIRANGA (270 KMs / 7 1/2 HRS)

Morning after Breakfast drive to Kaziranga - Declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985 for its unique natural environment KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK is situated in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam. It is one of the last areas in eastern India undisturbed by a human presence. It is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. Later on arrival in Kaziranga, check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 09: KAZIRANGA - GUWAHATI ((250 KMs / 5 HRS)

Morning after breakfast check out & proceeds towards guwahati later visit KAMAKHYA TEMPLE - Kamrup Kamakhya has been the seat of the powerful tantrik cult in India. Situated atop the Nilachal Hill in Guwahati, this temple is one of the 108 Shakti Peethas of the country. Rising to a modest height of 562 feet above the mighty river Brahmaputra, the hill on which the temple stands commands a magnificent view of the entire city, NAVAGRAHA TEMPLE - dedicated to the nine planets in the solar system this temple was built by the ruler Rajeswar Singh in late 18th century AD. Also known as the Abodes of Surya, the Navagraha Temple or the temple of the nine celestial bodies is located in the south eastern part of Guwahati, on a hill by name Chitrachal. It is a center of astrological and astronomical research, STATE ZOO - Spread over an area of 130 hectares, Assam State Zoo is the only zoo in India where a natural forest still exists. It is one of the major zoos of the country and boasts of a unique diversity of animal habitat. The botanical garden located within the same vicinity is called Guwahati’s green retreat. In the evening enjoy the RIVER CRUISE over the river Brahmaputra (Optional cost). The longest river in India, the Brahmaputra, runs through the spectacular scenery of Assam and is an ideal introduction to river cruising in India. Overnight in Guwahati.

Day 10: GUWAHATI

After breakfast transfer to Guwahati airport / Railway station for onward destination.
