Day 1 – (01 APRIL-26): ARRIVE GUWAHATI – DRIVE TO TEZPUR (4 ½ hours drive)
Arrive at Guwahati Airport and meet our representative. Begin your scenic drive to Tezpur, the gateway to Arunachal Pradesh. The route follows lush plains and the Brahmaputra River valley. On arrival, check in at your hotel or resort. Evening free for leisure.
Day 2 – (02 APRIL-26): DRIVE TO DIRANG (5 hours drive)
After breakfast, proceed to Dirang. En route, visit the Orchid Research Centre in Tipi, home to over 10,000 orchid species. Continue your drive through forests, waterfalls, and mountain villages. Arrive in Dirang and check in at your hotel. In the evening, explore Sangti Valley, a tranquil spot surrounded by orchards and grazing yaks. Overnight stay in Dirang.
Day 3 – (03 APRIL-26): DRIVE TO TAWANG via SELA PASS (6 hours drive)
After breakfast, depart for Tawang. Visit the Dirang War Cemetery, then ascend to Sela Pass (13,700 ft), a high-altitude marvel with its shimmering lake and snow-lined ridges. Continue to Jaswant Garh War Memorial and the picturesque Nuranang (Jang) Falls. Arrive in Tawang and check in at your hotel. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 4 – (04 APRIL-26): AT TAWANG (Excursion to Bum La Pass & Madhuri Lake)
After breakfast, embark on an excursion to the Indo-China border at Bum La Pass (subject to permit). Visit the serene Sangetsar Lake (Madhuri Lake) and the scenic Pangateng Tso (P.Tso) Lake. Return to Tawang by evening. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 5 – (05 APRIL-26): AT TAWANG (Tawang Sightseeing)
Spend the day exploring Tawang’s cultural and spiritual landmarks. Visit the 17th-century Tawang Monastery (Galden Namgyal Lhatse), the largest in the Himalayas, housing 500 monks and an 8-metre gilded Buddha. Continue to Urgeling Gompa, birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, and the Tawang War Memorial, dedicated to the heroes of the 1962 Indo-China War. Later, explore the Craft Centre, known for carpets, masks, and local handicrafts. Overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 6 – (06 APRIL-26): TRAVEL TO DIRANG
After breakfast, begin your return journey towards Dirang. Enjoy another look at the snowcapped peaks as you descend from Tawang through Sela Pass and Jaswant Garh. Stop for tea at Sela Lake before continuing your drive. On arrival in Dirang, check in at your hotel. Later, visit the Dirang Dzong, an ancient fortified village dating back to the 17th century, offering a glimpse into traditional Monpa architecture. Walk through the narrow lanes lined with stone houses and prayer flags f luttering in the wind.
Day 7 – (07 APRIL-26): TRAVEL TO GUWAHATI (7 hours drive)
After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 8 – (08 APRIL-26): FLY TO HOME (Visit Kamakhya Temple)
After breakfast, check out and visit the revered Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s most sacred Shakti Peeths. Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey with cherished memories of Arunachal Pradesh.
