Day by day
Day01Arrival in Cairo
Arrival at Cairo International Airport, meet the local representative and transfer to the hotel; dinner at a local Indian restaurant.
Day02Alexandria excursion
The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Pompey’s Pillar, the Roman Amphitheatre and a photo stop at the Qaitbay Citadel (outside view); return to Cairo.
Day03Giza and the train to Aswan
The Pyramids of Giza and an outside view of the Great Sphinx; perfume and papyrus shops; the Grand Egyptian Museum; the overnight sleeper train to Aswan, dinner onboard.
Day04Cairo – Aswan – Nile cruise
Breakfast onboard the sleeper train; the Philae Temple and the Aswan High Dam; a local cotton gallery; board the Nile cruise for lunch and dinner onboard.
Day05Abu Simbel – Kom Ombo
By road to the Abu Simbel temples; back onboard to sail towards Kom Ombo and visit the Kom Ombo Temple and the Crocodile Museum, then on towards Edfu.
Day06Edfu – Esna – Luxor
A horse-carriage ride to the Temple of Edfu; sail through the Esna Lock to Luxor and visit Luxor Temple (subject to the cruise’s arrival time); dinner onboard.
Day07Luxor – Hurghada
Disembark and explore the West Bank — the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon — then the Karnak Temple Complex and Luxor Temple; coach to Hurghada. Optional hot-air balloon ride at additional cost.
Day08Hurghada
A day at leisure on the Red Sea, with lunch and dinner at the hotel.
Day09Departure
Coach to Cairo International Airport with lunch en route, for the flight home.
